Public Law Outline (PLO)
The PLO process is intended to be a final step before care proceedings are issued.
A letter before action is received by parents prior to the meeting.
A PLO Meeting
The Local Authority hope that parents will attend the meeting with a solicitor.
One of our Child Law Solicitors will attend the meeting with you. Timely legal advice may prevent care proceedings being issued. Legal Aid is available to cover your representation.
If you have received a letter before action or have been asked to go to a PLO, it is important that you seek urgent legal advice.
Contact our Child Law Team urgently if you receive a pre-proceedings letter.
