Roger qualified as a solicitor in 1995, and since then has worked exclusively as a criminal advocate.
In 2005 he gained higher rights to represent clients at the Crown Court and has conducted many trials at courts throughout England. He has also successfully appealed cases at the Court of Appeal and the Divisional Court.
His strengths are common sense, straight talking and a pragmatic approach to cases – probably as a result of many years of experience in the police stations and Magistrates’ Court.
Notable cases include:
R v B – represented a youth during an 8 week trial at Nottingham Crown Court charged with Riot and Arson of a Police Station,
R v C – represented the only acquitted defendant in a 7 week trial at Leicester Crown Court who was allegedly involved in Class A drug conspiracy and money laundering
R v B – serious multi handed kidnap and false imprisonment trial at Derby Crown Court.
