Robert joined Bhatia Best in 2014, taking the next step in an already distinguished career having qualified as a Solicitor in 1975. A former Partner in a Mansfield based firm and sole practitioner until he brought his wealth of experience to us.
Robert has been an Accredited member of the Law Society’s Children Law Panel since 1980. His experience, garnered over a working lifetime dealing with all aspects of legal practice, client care and case management, is unmatched in the world of Family Law. Such is Roberts standing within the profession that he repeatedly receives accolades from clients, fellow professionals and judiciary alike for his sensible and realistic approach to the issues.

Associate Solicitor – Crime – Nottingham/Mansfield
Morgan is a senior solicitor within the Crime department and undertakes representation of those detained at the Police Station under arrest or charged to appear before the Magistrates Court. One of our regular trial advocates, Morgan is well trained in getting straight to the heart of the issue and presenting his clients case succinctly yet vigorously.
As well as managing a caseload, Morgan is directly involved in our liaisons with the Legal Aid Agency.
Practice Manager
Louise joined Bhatia Best in 2014 and was already a highly experienced Legal Cashier. She later became Head Cashier and is now jointly engaged in the administration of the business, helping to ensure the efficient running of the firms financial and administrative systems including Human Resources and the Finance Department.
Louise ensures that the firms practices and policies are compliant with Specialist Quality Mark criteria, Solicitors Accounts Rules, HMRC, Legal Aid Agency and Solicitors Regulation Authority Rules.
Legal Executive – Family & Child Law – Mansfield
Ashley has worked in the legal profession since 1996. She has a wealth of experience in all areas of family law and specialises in Domestic Abuse cases. As a result of her commitment, she has been certified as an Ambassador by the Women’s Aid Federation of England and was among the first to deliver the Freedom Program in collaboration with Nottinghamshire Independent Domestic Abuse Services and Surestart.
Ashley’s close links within the domestic abuse support community make her ideally placed to offer vital advice and assistance to those caught up in abusive relationships. She offers a non-judgmental approach, appreciating that her clients are almost always at their most vulnerable, explaining every step and the reason for it with understanding, compassion and empathy. Her motto is “100% commitment to every case, always”.
Partner – Crime – Nottingham
Pars has been a Partner in the Crime Department since the firm was incepted in 1993. He brings an unparalleled depth of experience to the local Criminal Defence community.
In over 30 years, there are very few scenarios that Pars has not encountered in the life cycle of a Criminal Case.
His approach to all aspects of Criminal Litigation is thorough and tenacious, always having the best interests of his clients at the forefront of his mind.
As Head of Crime, Pars provides invaluable guidance and support to all staff in the department and is highly regarded by fellow professionals across the region.
Managing Director
Ash has 40 years experience in the law, founded the firm in 1993, and is the Managing Director. Responsibilities cover all regulatory compliance and quality assurance and he is the firm’s COLP, COFA, Complaints Handling Officer, and leads the management team in all financial & strategic decision making.
Ash has championed access to justice and legal aid to defend and advance the legal rights of all including the vulnerable and least fortunate. He has served as President & Council Member of the local Law Society, Council Member of the National Law Society, 20 years as Chair of the Criminal Committee, on the MOJ Advisory Panel, and lead spokesman for Legal Associations. Contributions to Justice and the Profession led to awards; Solicitor of the Year, Special Achievement Award, and the Presidents Award.
